America has always been at the forefront of imaginative thinking. We are a nation of people who are not only drawn by the possibility of the future, but who believe passionately in the power of doing things in the present.
At the Louisville Science Center, we realize the fundamental necessity of sharing science with the community. Most importantly, we appreciate it’s not just about introducing people of all ages to science, but by fully engaging them in its ability to change and improve the world they live in.
And we need your help to make it happen. One-third of our annual operating budget is derived from contributions from individuals like you. Here are just a few of the things your support contributes to:
- Creating programming that’s focused on developing and reinforcing our workforce, which fills imminent, urgent needs in the region.
- Maintaining low field trip fees, allowing teachers and students to make interesting and fun science connections part of their annual lesson plans — which helps elevate our state and region’s standing academically against others.
- Developing students and citizens who think and act in ways that contribute to advancing our area as a regional economic force.
- Providing thousands of science-learning moments to the public by partnering with other organizations in unique and exciting ways as a part of community events.
- Preserving and enhancing our bricks-and-mortar infrastructure through exhibit maintenance, building maintenance, and technology upgrades.
